We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive 3rd Tier IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic support team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our retail systems operate seamlessly, delivering high-quality technical support and driving continuous improvement across our IT environment.

You will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, system monitoring, and providing expert-level support to resolve complex incidents—helping ensure our customers’ operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced (3rd line) technical support across hardware, software, and network environments
  • Investigate and resolve incidents using remote support tools within SLA requirements
  • Monitor retail stores’ End-of-Day (EOD) processes and file transmissions daily
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues efficiently
  • Manage and resolve incidents logged on the Call Logging System (CLS)
  • Escalate system defects and software bugs to development teams when required
  • Collaborate with customer call centers to provide feedback and clarify issues
  • Maintain system stability through proactive monitoring and system improvements

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong collaboration between internal teams and customer support units
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying innovative solutions for retail systems
  • Support system upgrades and contribute to the optimization of the IT estate

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Relevant IT qualification or A+ / N+ certification

Experience Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience in retail application support

Strong working knowledge of:

  • Linux environments
  • Windows Server
  • Experience with Advanced Store at Retail (AS@R) will be advantageous

Technical Skills:

  • Batch scripting
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Microsoft Office suite

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Own reliable vehicle
