#670 Reliever Security Officer - Cape Town

Security Officer A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. They will possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping facilities safe and problem-free.

The successful candidate must be fit to work on any site, work well under pressure, be neat and presentable as well as have the ability to work with people.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
• Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Minimum Requirements

• Grade C - Psira registered and up to date
• Grade 12
• Handgun Firearm Competency - Advantageous
• Must be physically fit and healthy – ability to be on your feet whole day
• Good interpersonal skills are important
• Suitable candidates must pass all recruitment checks - aptitude test, interviews, background checks etc.
• Candidates should reside in or around the following areas for staff transport - Eersteriver, Delft, Wesbank, Blue Downs or Mitchell's Plain.

Please note this is a Permanent position but as a Reliever for multiple sites.
