About Tri-State Lock

Tri-State Lock is a national locksmith, door, and electronic security contractor headquartered in New York. We keep entrances, hardware, and access systems working for multi-site commercial clients across the U.S. and Canada — retail, healthcare, hospitality, education, and more. When a door won't lock or a card reader goes down, our clients call us, and it's on us to get it handled.

About the Role

The Account Coordinator is the person who makes that happen day to day. You'll own a set of client accounts and shepherd their service calls from the moment a request comes in until the job is closed out and billed. It's a phone-and-keyboard role in a business where things break unpredictably, so no two days look the same.

A typical day includes:

• Watching your open work orders and pushing each one forward — nothing should sit
• Chasing technicians and subcontractors for arrival windows, job status, part ETAs, and closeout paperwork
• Booking appointments with site contacts and keeping them posted before they have to ask
• Sourcing and tracking parts so techs aren't sitting idle waiting on material
• Entering vendor invoices and helping Finance chase down receivables
• Keeping Salesforce accurate — notes, statuses, contacts, all of it
• Being the connective tissue between clients, field techs, vendors, and everyone here

What we're looking for:

• 3–5 years in coordination, dispatch, service scheduling, or a similar operations role
• Someone who stays organized when six things are urgent at once and can decide which one actually is
• A calm voice for a frustrated client, plus the resourcefulness to solve the logistical mess behind their frustration
• Real care about accuracy — a wrong PO number or a missed note creates work for five other people
• Clear, professional written and spoken English; you'll be on the phone with U.S. clients daily
• Solid computer skills and a quick learn on new systems; 40+ WPM with clean accuracy
• Reliable internet and a quiet space to take calls
• Salesforce experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person

Employment Details

• Tri-State Lock is a United States company; this position supports our U.S. and Canadian operations
• This role is hired through an Employer of Record (EOR), meaning you'll be formally employed by our EOR partner in South Africa while working day to day as part of the Tri-State Lock team — same work, same colleagues, same expectations
• Your EOR handles all HR related items
• You'll report directly to Tri-State Lock management and work alongside our U.S. team
• Schedule: Five-day work week including one weekend day, aligned to U.S. business hours. Doors break on Saturdays too, and our clients need coverage when they do.
• Location: Fully remote within South Africa
• Compensation: R25,000 – R48,000 per month, commensurate with experience
