Account Manager - Industrial

Key Responsibilities

Sales Growth & Business Development

?Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts.

?Developing and executing account plans to achieve sales, profitability, and market share objectives.

?Driving revenue growth through the promotion of products, solutions, and value-added services.

?Leading commercial negotiations and securing long-term sales agreements and contracts.

?Identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling across the product portfolio.

?Supporting the achievement of regional and national sales targets.

Customer Relationship Management

?Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with customers at operational, technical, procurement, and executive levels.

?Building customer loyalty through proactive engagement and effective account management.

?Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering responsive and value-driven solutions.

?Understanding customers' business objectives, challenges, and operational requirements.

?Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.

Pipeline Management & Sales Forecasting

?Managing the sales pipeline to ensure a healthy flow of opportunities and sustainable business growth.

?Tracking opportunities through the sales cycle and driving conversion from prospect to customer.

?Ensuring accurate sales forecasting and reporting.

?Monitoring account performance against sales targets and taking corrective action where required.

?Maintaining up-to-date customer and opportunity records within the CRM system.

Strategic Account Management

?Developing and implementing strategic account plans aligned with customer and business objectives.

?Analyzing customer operations, market trends, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities.

?Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop commercial strategies and customer-specific solutions.

?Driving joint business planning initiatives with key customers.

?Ensuring alignment between customer requirements and organizational objectives.

Financial Management

?Taking ownership of revenue, margin, and profitability targets for assigned accounts.

?Monitoring account performance against financial objectives and budgets.

?Supporting pricing strategies and contract negotiations to maximize profitability.

?Managing commercial risks and ensuring sustainable business outcomes.

Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement

?Monitoring competitor activities, market developments, and industry trends.

?Identifying emerging customer needs and translating them into commercial opportunities.

?Providing market feedback to support product development and business strategy.

?Maintaining a strong understanding of industry regulations and market dynamics.

Qualifications and Experience

???????Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering, BSc Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.

???????Minimum 5-7 years' experience within the Chemical or Industrial industry.

???????Proven experience in sales, account management, and business development.

???????Demonstrated track record of achieving sales and profitability targets.

???????Experience managing key accounts and negotiating commercial agreements.

???????Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
