Job Type: This is a full-time, in office position.

Salary: R25000.00 -R50000.00 per month depending on experience.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for:

• Full Financial Management: Overseeing the entire accounting process, including processing, preparation of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow forecasts.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Taking immediate ownership of the general ledger. Your priority will be to investigate, identify, and resolve outstanding variances and historical financial backlogs.
• Process Improvement: Designing and implementing robust internal controls and efficient accounting procedures to prevent future errors and improve financial reporting accuracy.
• Audit Preparation: Preparing all required schedules and documentation for the annual audit.
• Reporting: Accurate and on-time preparations and submissions of reports such as profit and loss reports, management account report, etc.

Requirements:

• Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance (e.g., BCom, BTech, or equivalent).
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a full-cycle accounting role. Experience in electronic waste industry is an advantage.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Forex and intercompany loan management is highly advantageous.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent investigative and problem-solving abilities, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Communication: Strong ability to translate and report complex financial findings to non financial stakeholders.
• Work Style: A self-driven, detail-oriented professional who thrives under pressure and maintains exceptional standards

Technical Proficiency:

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS for SMEs.
• Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas) and Xero accounting system.
• Payspace, Hubdoc and Odoo system knowledge experience is a bonus.
