About Atlantic Aerodrome

Atlantic Aerodrome is a new aviation destination opening on the N7 in October 2026. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Accountant to take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting, financial administration and general finance operations of the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in the full accounting function and working in a dynamic environment where no two days are exactly the same.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full day-to-day accounting and finance function, including:

• Membership administration, billing and member account management
• Debtors management and collections
• Full creditors function, including processing and payment administration
• Bank and other financial reconciliations on Xero
• Payroll administration and processing on SimplePay
• Preparation of monthly management accounts/statements
• VAT calculations, reconciliations and submissions
• Daily restaurant cash-ups and reconciliation of restaurant takings
• Monitoring and recording all restaurant income and expenses
• General restaurant financial administration
• Administration of hangar rentals, including invoicing, accounts and related documentation
• Processing and maintaining accurate financial records
• Managing finance-related emails and correspondence
• Communicating with members, suppliers, tenants and other stakeholders
• General financial and administrative support to management
• Ensuring that financial records are accurate, up to date and properly maintained
• Assisting management with financial reporting, analysis and ad-hoc financial requirements

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable, organised and able to work independently.

Minimum requirements:

• At least 5 years' experience in a similar accounting role
• Relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualification or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and day-to-day financial processes
• Practical experience with Xero
• Experience with SimplePay or a similar payroll system
• Experience with VAT and monthly financial reporting
• Strong reconciliation and attention-to-detail skills
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function
• Previous experience in a role involving memberships and/or restaurant accounting will be highly advantageous
• Previous experience dealing with cash-ups, daily takings and high-volume transactions will be beneficial
• Own reliable transport is essential, as the position is based on-site at Atlantic Aerodrome on the N7

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable taking ownership of the entire finance function rather than working within a large finance department.

You should be able to work independently, identify issues before they become problems, keep accurate records and communicate confidently with management, suppliers, members and tenants.

Experience in a restaurant, hospitality, membership-based business, aviation environment or property/hangar rental environment would be advantageous.
