Accountant (Costing) - Port Elizabeth

As the Finance Manager's right-hand person, you'll gain broad exposure across financial reporting, costing, budgeting, cash flow management, compliance, and operational finance. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional looking to expand their expertise and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced business.

Duties:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and support month-end and year-end close.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and perform variance analysis to support business performance.
• Maintain and review Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure costing accuracy.
• Perform standard costing, analyse cost variances, and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
• Monitor inventory, production costs, and product profitability to support informed decision-making. .
• Ensure compliance through internal controls, audits, and adherence to company policies.
• Partner with the Finance Manager to support the day-to-day finance function and drive operational efficiencies.

Education and experience:

• BCom Accounting or Finance
• CIMA qualification or studying towards CIMA will be advantageous
• 3-5 years' accounting experience within a manufacturing environment is compulsory
• Costing experience is essential
