Job description
Financial management of the Company
● Overall financial management of the Company, reporting to the Directors
● Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and reporting to the Directors
● Cash flow management, forecasting and budgeting
● Ownership of the accounting records (XERO) across the group entities
● Oversight of inter-company loan accounts and balancing of Mayday
● Oversight of VAT submissions, SARS matters and statutory financial compliance
● Review of the fixed asset register and depreciation
● Oversight of petty cash controls across all 3 branches
● Managing, training and developing the Finance Department, including mentoring
● Reviewing the finance team's work to catch and correct errors before submission
● Approving supplier payments and invoicing for major clients
● Liaison with the external auditors/advisors on Annual Financial Statements
● Liaison with Bank and the insurance broker ● Ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested by the DirectorsWork performed for the directors and company entities including trusts:
● Filing of the CIPC Annual Return● Filing of the Trust UBO (beneficial ownership)
● Filing of Provisional Taxes● Filing of Income Tax Returns● Filing of VAT 201 (Desco)● Filing of VAT 201 (other entities)● Individual Income Tax Returns● Bookkeeping● Upskill training
● Tax Clearance Certificates
