VACANCY: ACCOUNTANT (Reference: ACC26)

The Donald Brown Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team in Upington. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about financial excellence, internal controls, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and submit VAT and other statutory returns.
• Manage fixed asset registers and depreciation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Support external auditors during annual audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.
• Assist with inventory reconciliations and costing where required.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA qualification (completed or in progress) will be advantageous.
• Minimum 3–5 years' accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting and inventory systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary package: Market related.
