URGENTLY HIRING: Accountant (Service Station Experience Essential)

Location: Westmead, Durban
Position: Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong service station (fuel retail) background to join our team as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

Full accounting function
Daily cashbook processing and reconciliations
Bank reconciliations
Debtors and creditors management
Fuel stock reconciliations
Wet stock and dry stock analysis
Preparation of management accounts
VAT calculations and submissions
Payroll support (advantageous)
General ledger reconciliations
Financial reporting and month-end procedures
Assisting with audits and compliance

Minimum Requirements:

Proven accounting experience within a service station or fuel retail environment (essential)
Strong understanding of fuel reconciliations, wet stock control, and fuel retail accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Relevant accounting qualifications will be advantageous
