SUMMARY: A well-established organisation based in Midrand is seeking an experienced Finance Manager / Accountant to join its finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and overseeing debtors, creditors, and general accounting processes. This role requires a hands-on professional who is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION INFO: Key Responsibilities Financial Management Manage the full accounting and finance function. Process daily financial transactions accurately and timeously. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations. Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Prepare and submit statutory returns where applicable. Creditors Capture supplier invoices onto the accounting system. Ensure all purchases are properly authorised before processing. Maintain supplier accounts and resolve account queries. Perform monthly supplier reconciliations. Process supplier payments accurately and on time. Generate payment reports and supporting documentation. Create purchase orders when required. Debtors Manage the debtors' ledger and customer accounts. Follow up on outstanding customer payments. Resolve customer account queries professionally. Ensure debtor collections are completed within agreed payment terms. Allocate customer payments accurately. Generate monthly customer statements. Maintain accurate debtor records and reconciliations. General Finance & Administration File paid supplier invoices, customer remittances, and financial documentation. Maintain organised financial records and document control. Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes. Ensure all financial transactions are processed before month-end reporting. Perform monthly finance checklists and reporting duties. Assist with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required. Manage office stationery procurement and general office expenses where applicable. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 \/ Matric. Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Finance Manager or Accountant role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office , particularly Excel. Experience using accounting software (Pastel Evolution or similar ERP systems will be advantageous). Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting. Excellent reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and organisational abilities. High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail. Preferred Skills Experience managing both creditors and debtors functions. Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines. Strong understanding of accounting controls and financial compliance. Experience preparing management reports and assisting with budgeting. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience.
