SUMMARY: Financial Precision Across Multiple Entities POSITION INFO: A well-established group based in Sandton is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper \/ Accountant to join its finance team. As the Bookkeeper \/ Accountant, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting function across a diverse investment portfolio and multiple legal entities. This role requires someone with strong technical accounting skills, excellent organisational ability, and the confidence to manage several sets of books simultaneously. You'll work closely with senior management, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting the overall success of the business. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting Manage the full bookkeeping and accounting function across multiple entities Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules Process journals, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end reporting Compliance & Financial Control Assist with VAT and statutory submissions Prepare supporting documentation for external audits Maintain strong financial controls and accounting procedures Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Business Support Assist with cash flow management and payment processes Support finance projects and process improvements Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers Provide accurate financial information to management when required Job Experience and Skills Required BCom Accounting or Finance Minimum 5 years' accounting or bookkeeping experience Proven experience managing multiple entities Exposure to an investment company or investment portfolio environment highly advantageous Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills Excellent understanding of the full accounting cycle Strong Excel skills and accounting systems experience A stable employment history demonstrating commitment and reliability Who We're Looking For A dependable finance professional who values accuracy Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously Proactive and able to work independently Strong communicator with a professional approach Someone looking for a long-term career opportunity where they can grow and add value This is an opportunity to join a stable investment group where your technical accounting skills will be valued, your contribution will be recognised, and you'll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of businesses.
