Accountant: Group Reporting

Job Purpose The Group Reporting Accountant is responsible for the preparation and delivery of accurate, complete and timely consolidated financial information for the Group, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Group accounting policies, JSE reporting requirements and other applicable regulatory requirements. The role supports the Group reporting process through the preparation of consolidated financial statements, technical accounting assessments, financial disclosures and audit-ready reporting packs, while contributing to the integrity, governance and continuous improvement of the Group's financial reporting environment. The incumbent will work closely with finance teams across the Group to ensure consistent application of accounting principles, high-quality financial reporting and the provision of meaningful financial information to support strategic decision-making.

Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare Consolidated monthly, interim and annual financial reports.
• Perform Group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation journals.
• Prepare IFRS-compliant Consolidated Annual Financial Statements and supporting disclosures.
• Research and resolve technical accounting matters and prepare position papers.
• Support external audit processes and manage audit deliverables.
• Assist with listed company reporting and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Analyse financial results and provide reporting insights to management.
• Maintain strong financial controls and reporting governance.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation and process optimisation initiatives within the finance environment.
• Collaborate with finance teams across the Group to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Assist with Tax submissions/requirements if and where needed in the business.
• Assist with resolving ad hoc requests/matters arising from business operations

Experience and Qualification

• CA(SA) – 5+ Years
• Big 4 or strong audit firm background preferred
• Consolidated Financial Statement preparation experience
• IFRS
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Tax knowledge (Income and Deferred tax accounting)
• JSE listed finance environment
