Our Company requires services of a skilled professional for the position of an Accountant for our Feed Mill Division. We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and result orientated individual.

Minimum Requirements
National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 is required.
BCom Accounting, Financial Accounting, or relevant accounting qualification.
At least 3-5 years' experience in an accounting position.
Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, feed mill, production, or FMCG environments will be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with stock/inventory accounting and cost accounting.
Advance Excel skills.
Experience with accounting/ERP systems.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day acounting functions of the Feed Mill Division.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reconcilliations, and accounting schedules.
Process and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, journals, and general ledger transactions.
Monitor and control feed mill costs, including raw materials, production costs, overheads, labour, and operational expenses.
Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for management.
Analyse production costs and identify discrepancies, cost variances, and areas of improved financial efficiency.
Monitor stock and raw material movements and ensure accurate inventory accounting.
Perform regular stock reconcilliations and assist with stock counts.
Work closely with the Feed Mill Manager and operational teams to ensure accurate costing and financial control.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Assist with internal and external audits and provide supporting documentation when required.
Maintain proper financial documentation and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Identify financial risks and recommend improvements to accounting and control processes.
