Accountant

Purpose of the Role:
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. This role supports management by providing financial insights, maintaining internal controls, and assisting with audits and tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform reconciliations (bank, supplier, customer accounts).
• Ensure compliance with SARS tax regulations and company policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors when required.
• Provide financial advice to management for strategic decision‑making.

Requirements:

• BCom in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax legislation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
