Job Advert Summary
Key Responsibilities: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly financial accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal processing, fixed asset administration, petty cash management, payments, and payroll validation. Review and monitor sales, weighbridge, inventory, intermill transactions, and cost of sales reconciliations. Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, variance analyses, financial reports, and year-end reporting packs. Support budgeting and forecasting processes by monitoring expenses, investigating variances, and assisting department heads with budget preparation. Assist with inventory and stock counts, reconciliation of variances, and reporting on stock discrepancies and inventory risks. Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, VAT and tax regulations, and internal financial controls. Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing relevant documentation and responding to audit queries. Act as a finance team leader in the absence of the Financial Manager and provide cross-functional support to colleagues and operational teams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in financial controls and business processes. Experience & Competencies: Sound knowledge of financial and management accounting principles. Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and cost control. Working knowledge of accounting systems, preferably SAP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced operational environment.### Minimum Requirements
