Job description

An astute and well-established construction company based in Johannesburg is seeking a highly competent and results-driven Accountant to join its finance team on a 6-month performance-based contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong construction industry experience who is passionate about financial excellence, compliance, and business performance.

Minimum Requirements

● Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.

● Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant accounting experience.

● Proven experience within the construction industry is essential.

● Proficiency in Sage Accounting software.

● Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

● Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to work independently while meeting strict d

Prepare and submit VAT returns.

● Ensure SARS compliance and manage all related tax matters.

● Manage and monitor cash flow using Excel.

● Prepare Annual Financial Statements (AFS).

● Administer Income Tax and Provisional Tax.

● Perform general accounting and financial reporting functions.

● Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

● Assist management with financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Pay: R50 000,00 - R60 000,00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sunninghill, Gauteng
