Job description
Join a well-established business in the engineering and construction sector where finance plays a key role in supporting operational success. This opportunity is suited to a hands-on, detail-driven finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and is confident partnering with teams across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a stable, operationally focused business.
Duties:
- Manage month-end close, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Process intercompany transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and balance sheet schedules
- Prepare VAT, tax-related reconciliations, and statutory submissions
- Oversee debtors, creditors, and support audit requirements
Education and experience:
- BCom Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years’ accounting experience in a commercial environment
- SAIPA articles completed
- CIMA would be an advantage
- Experience on Pastel Accounting and/or Xero
