Accountant

Lexdan Select is assisting a property company based in Paardevlei, Somerset West for an Accountant.

This role has a salary range of R35 000 to R40 000 p.m. and is fully onsite:

Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage full bank reconciliations, creditor processing/reconciliations, and VAT submissions/reconciliations (including SARS audit data) across all 16 group entities.
• Process journals, maintain the general ledger, and identify/resolve accounting discrepancies to keep financial records accurate and complete.
• Maintain amortisation schedules for loans/intercompany balances and manage the intercompany matrix, reconciliations, and monitoring.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, project accounting for new builds, and annual budgets.
• Handle banking operations: loading payments, credit card reconciliations, and weekly cash flow forecasting.
• Manage tenant billing (recoveries, rental, electricity usage) and debtor management, including reporting and daily follow-ups.
• Reconcile monthly payroll journals (salaries, PAYE, UIF, leave provisions) and handle municipal, supplier, and debtor queries.
• Support annual valuations and audits, liaise with stakeholders, and assist the FM/CFO with ad hoc duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 3 - 4 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in property/real estate (advantageous)
