Job Description
Company is seeking a well-qualified candidate to join their team. You must be fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
Duties:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Perform month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Prepare and post journals, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare VAT calculations and statutory submissions.
- Assist with annual audits and provide audit support documentation.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and applicable legislation.
- Review and reconcile debtor and creditor accounts.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and accounting processes.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide financial support and guidance.
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related duties as required.
Qualifications
- BCom Accounting Degree + SAIPA Articles Essential
Skills
- 3 Years Experience
- Must have Advanced Excel skills, Pastel Partner/Evolution and CaseWare
- Strong with Journal processing, Bank Reconciliations, Creditor Recons and capturing of Supplier invoices.
- Strong understanding of South African accounting standards and tax legislation.
- Experience preparing financial statements and management reports.
- VAT Recons and understanding of VAT legislation
- Asset Register and calculation of depreciation
- Must have completed SAIPA articles
