Accountant | Finance - Hoedspruit Limpopo

Agriculture | Farming | Fresh Produce | Agribusiness

Accurate reporting, strong controls, and reliable financial information are essential in a business where margins, volumes and operational demands can shift quickly.

A well-established organisation in the agriculture sector in Hoeadspruit is looking to appoint a detail-oriented Accountant to support its finance function and help maintain the financial discipline needed across a fast-moving operational environment.

The role combines hands-on accounting, reporting, reconciliations. and analysis, with close support to the Financial Manager and broader business.

Key focus areas:

• Prepare monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

• Manage creditor, payroll, petty cash, and general ledger reconciliations.

• Process journals and assist with management reporting.

• Investigate account variances and resolve discrepancies.

• Support annual audit preparation and statutory compliance.

• Assist the Financial Manager with planning and day-to-day finance operations.

Experience and educational requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.

• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles, or equivalent.

• 3-5 years’ accounting experience in a commercial environment.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting systems experience.

• Strong understanding of VAT, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
