Senior Accountant – Imports & Exports

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of accounting experience, with a strong background in international imports and exports, foreign suppliers, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions related to import and export transactions.
• Process and reconcile international supplier invoices and payments.
• Handle foreign currency transactions and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and import/export requirements.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support annual audits.
• Work closely with purchasing and logistics departments to ensure smooth international procurement processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience in a senior accounting role.
• Proven experience in imports and exports.
• Experience purchasing from and dealing with international suppliers.
• Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with international clients and suppliers.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant Accounting Degree or Diploma.
• Experience with foreign currency transactions and international trade documentation.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and international procurement processes.
