2. Main Purpose of the Role
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing financial reports, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Process company expenses, supplier invoices, and payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts and creditor accounts.
- Review sales, stock, and accounting reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end procedures.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with company procedures.
4. Daily Duties
- Process financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank and creditor accounts.
- Process supplier payments.
- Review accounting records and resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to finance-related queries.
5. Monthly Duties
- Prepare management accounts.
- Complete month-end reconciliations.
- Assist with financial reporting and audits.
- Review and improve accounting processes.
6. Systems and Tools Used
- Xero Accounting
- Microsoft Excel
- Google Sheets
- Online Banking Platforms
- Accounting and Stock Control Systems
7. Additional Responsibilities
- Provide financial support to Management.
- Assist stores and departments with finance-related queries.
- Perform any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Company.
Pay: R20 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
