Key Purpose of Role
To manage and execute financial and accounting processes in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with financial risk and audit standards. The role supports the broadcasting business by providing timely and reliable financial insights to enable sound decision-making.
Minimum required qualification: Degree in Accounting/Financial Equivalent
Minimum years of experience: Minimum 3-5 years in accounting

Key Performance Areas
Financial Performance:
- Analyse financial data to assist management with decision making
- Analyse and submit management accounts monthly and report on variances
- Assist with the review and amendment of finance related policies
- Contribute towards ad hoc insurance related matters
- Approval of prize winners on prizes system
- Review of AP Invoice/Cashbook processing and reconciliation
- Facilitate and complete month-end procedures
- Preparing of intercompany invoices
- Processing of general ledger Journals
- Preparing schedules as required by management
- Preparing and clearing of balance sheet reconciliations
- Vat calculation and submission
- Address all Admin & Finance related queries
- Assist with other assigned projects
- Cognos reporting
Fixed Assets:
- Fixed asset management on SAGE
- Periodic asset verification in line with annual verification plan
- WIP Management
- Monitoring of asset useful lives and reassessment
Budgets & Forecasts:
- Contribute towards the compilation of budgets and forecasting
- Event budget management and reporting
- Uploading of budgets/Forecasts onto Cognos
- Monitoring
BEE:
- Manage Preferential Procurement and update information for reporting purposes
- BEE maintenance
- Assisting with query resolution in relation to annual BEE audit
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow to achieve cash conversion targets
- Management of petty cash process
Audit:
- Facilitate and complete year-end procedures
- Adequately respond to all audit related queries
- Monitoring of audit submissions
- Ensuring valid, accurate and complete financial information resulting in insignificant audit findings
- Preparing tax pack schedules
- Cognos reporting and resolution of related audit queries
