Job & Company Description

An exciting opportunity is available for an Accountant to join a dynamic finance, administration, and human resources team. This role is ideally suited to a finance professional with completed SAICA articles and a strong foundation in accounting, payroll processing, and statutory compliance.

Duties:

• Prepare multiple cashbooks and perform bank reconciliations
• Allocate debtor receipts and creditor payments
• Process monthly payroll and payroll-related reconciliations
• Prepare and submit EMP201, UIF, and other payroll statutory returns
• Complete interim and annual EMP501 reconciliations and IRP5 submissions
• Prepare VAT201 and provisional tax calculations for submission
• Manage tax clearance certificates and SARS e-filing correspondence
• Maintain fixed asset registers and process depreciation
• Process journals, reconciliations, and month-end accounting entries
• Review debtors, creditors, and stock reports
• Assist with pension fund, medical aid, and group life submissions

Qualifications & Skills:

• BCom Accounting essential
• Completed SAICA articles
• Strong accounting, payroll, and reconciliation experience
• Experience with Sage 200 Evolution advantageous
• Experience with Sage Premier Payroll advantageous
• SARS e-filing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, UIF, and tax compliance
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
