Accountant

Key Requirements

• CA(SA) with 1–3 years' post-articles experience, or CIMA, AGA(SA), SAIPA, or ACCA with 5+ years' relevant experience.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounting, tax compliance, and audit coordination.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and reconcile large financial datasets.
• Experience with multi-entity reporting, intercompany accounting, and financial consolidations.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and statutory reporting.
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• High attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in commercial finance, cost accounting, or multi-country tax is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and management reports.
• Manage tax compliance, including VAT, income tax, withholding tax, and statutory submissions.
• Perform general ledger, payroll, bank, intercompany, and fixed asset reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee depreciation schedules.
• Coordinate internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow reports, and variance analysis.
• Conduct profitability, cost, and financial performance analysis to support business decisions.
• Monitor financial controls and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure accurate financial records and timely statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve financial efficiency and operational performance.
• Support business planning and provide financial insights to management.
• Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.

• Experience with multi-entity reporting, commercial finance, or cost accounting is advantageous.
• International or multi-country tax experience is beneficial.
