Job description
We are a fast-growing online ICAEW accountancy firm specialising in ecommerce businesses — from Etsy and Amazon sellers to eBay and Shopify stores. As the leading ecommerce-focused accountancy practice in the UK, we provide SME clients with a complete service, covering everything from bookkeeping and VAT returns to accounts and tax compliance.
We’re a remote-first business so this role is perfect for someone who thrives working from home in a focused and organised environment.
What sets us apart is not just our accounting expertise, but also our in-house development team, who build bespoke ecommerce accounting tools to improve client service and internal efficiency.
We’re now looking for an Accountant to join our friendly and growing team. You’ll gain hands-on experience and play a key part in delivering high-quality services to our clients.
Role Description:
- Prepare annual accounts and corporation tax returns across a varied SME client base
- Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns including more complex personal tax situations
- Prepare and Review VAT returns and manage VAT-related queries and compliance obligations
- Liasing with clients and the team
- Handle HMRC correspondence, enquiries, and audits on behalf of clients
- Identify tax planning opportunities and flag them appropriately within the client relationship
What We're looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting practice bookkeeping
- At least 2 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice (mandatory)
- Accounts & Corporation Tax Preparation experience
- Self-assessment preparation experience
- VAT preparation experience
- ACCA or CA Qualified
- Knowledge of Xero
- Knowledge of QuickBooks (advantageous)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office incl. Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client files
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Reliable home internet and ability to work UK hours (10am – 6pm SA time)

Pay: R31 000,00 - R46 000,00 per month
