Salary: R35 000,00 to R45 000,00 CTC per month

Overview:

A well-established software company is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of the full accounting function, with a strong focus on financial reporting, tax compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting function using Sage Accounting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage VAT, PAYE and other statutory submissions through SARS eFiling.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and the fixed asset register.
• Liaise with SARS, auditors and external service providers.
• Ensure compliance with South African accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Support continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years' accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounting.
• Experience with SARS eFiling and tax submissions.
• Solid understanding of VAT, PAYE and Corporate Income Tax.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong in Afrikaans
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
