Are you a hands-on Accountant who enjoys taking ownership of the full accounting function from cashbook through to management accounts?

Our client, a well-established and successful business with its head office based in Benoni , is looking to appoint an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy office environment, meeting deadlines and playing a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

📍 Location: Benoni (candidates should ideally reside in or close to the East Rand)

💰 Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 total CTC per month

🗓 Start Date: As soon as possible

📋 What You'll Be Doing

✔ Managing the full accounting function from cashbook through to management accounts

✔ Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports

✔ Bank, debtor, creditor and general ledger reconciliations

✔ VAT, EMP201 and EMP501 submissions

✔ Month-end and year-end processes

✔ Supporting audits and SARS queries

✔ Managing the fixed asset register

✔ Monitoring cash flow and assisting with forecasting

✔ Supervising the Debtors Controller

✔ Assisting with budgeting and ad hoc finance responsibilities

✅ What We're Looking For

✔ BCom Degree in Accounting (essential)

✔ Minimum 3 years' experience in a full-function accounting role

✔ Proven experience preparing management accounts

✔ Strong Advanced Excel skills

✔ Own reliable vehicle

✔ Contactable references

💻 Systems Experience (Essential)

Applicants must have recent hands-on experience working on accounting systems such as Sage X3, Pastel Evolution, Xero or similar ERP/accounting software.

Please note: Candidates without strong accounting system experience are unfortunately unlikely to be considered for this position.
