ACCOUNTANT WITH ARTICLES

Our client is one of the major fruit growers in South Africa, with 10 farms in Limpopo alone. We are recruiting for an Articled Accountant to support the fast-paced finance team, working from their offices in Hoedspruit. The ideal candidate will have over 6 months post SAICA / SAIPA articles work experience, as well as a strong knowledge of VAT.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our Financial Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting key financial processes, including monthly financial reporting, payroll and financial reconciliation, audit preparation and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

· Monthly financial procedures and management reporting

· Financial reconciliation

· Payroll and wage reconciliation

· Prepare journals and supporting schedules

· Review creditors, COD and petty cash reconciliations

· Ensure accurate financial records and compliance

· Provide financial and administrative support to Financial Manger

Minimum Requirements

· Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

· Completed accounting articles

· 3-5 years relevant accounting experience

· Strong knowledge of VAT and VAT reconciliation

· Advances Microsoft Excel skills

· Payroll and wage reconciliation experience advantageous

· Experience in agricultural or farming industry advantageous
