Job description
Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health Institute NPC, (MatCH) is a non-profit organization supporting public sector health services. MatCH implements donor funded projects to improve HIV and TB outcomes through providing technical assistance and direct service delivery support. MatCH Institute NPC is looking to fill the following Position.
Location: MatCH Head Office , Durban ( KwaZulu Natal Province)
Type of Contract: Fixed term contract ending 31 December 2026
Main Purpose of the Job To lead the provision of effective operational support services to all staff specifically in the areas of financial management, donor liaison and organizational administration.
Key performance areas
- Ensure adherence to the financial policies and procedures
- Effective review of general ledger entries, journal entries, audit files and balance sheet reconciliations
- Budget preparation and management
- Compilation of reports
- Liaison with all relevant stakeholders
- Effective compliance with donor requirements
- Effective self-management.
Required minimum education and training o BCom Accounting Degree or equivalent
Minimum work experience o Minimum 3 years financial reporting experience within a large organisation.
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities o Experience working in a donor funded organization with management of USAID grants will be advantageous o Knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and accounting package (SAGE) is desirable o Must have a dynamic and compatible personality, able to deal with clients, donors and staff at all levels o Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and work as part of a multidisciplinary team o Excellent management skills and attention to detail o Ability to extract, interprets, analyse and format data o Ability to work in a pressurized environment and meet deadlines o Ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines o Able to work overtime as and when required to meet deadlines o Available to commence work immediately.
