Accounting & Finance Marketing Intern

Job Description Are you a creative and driven individual ready to make a real impact? We are looking for a passionate Events Marketing Intern to join our team in Midrand, South Africa.

What will the programme look like?

The Marketing Intern will support the planning, execution, and reporting of marketing campaigns across various business segments. This role provides hands-on experience in B2B marketing, event management, digital marketing, customer engagement, and lead generation while contributing to Sage's overall marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities Summary of the Role

Marketing Campaign Support

• Assist with the execution of marketing campaigns across email, digital, social media, and web channels.

• Support the development of marketing assets, including email invitations, landing pages, surveys, and promotional content.

• Coordinate campaign timelines and ensure marketing activities are delivered on schedule.

Event and Webinar Coordination

• Assist with the planning and execution of webinars, roundtables, roadshows, customer events, and partner activities.

• Manage attendee registrations, communications, and post-event follow-up activities.

• Support event logistics, supplier coordination, and attendee engagement initiatives.

Data Management and Reporting

• Maintain and update customer and prospect databases within CRM systems.

• Assist in tracking campaign performance, lead generation, and engagement metrics.

• Prepare marketing performance reports and dashboards.

Digital Marketing Support

• Monitor campaign performance across digital platforms.

• Assist with social media scheduling, email marketing, and website content updates.

• Support SEO, content marketing, and paid media initiatives where required.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, customer success, and operations teams.

• Support marketing communications and customer engagement activities.

• Assist with lead nurturing and customer journey initiatives.

What will make me successful

• A grade 12 matric certificate

• You must have a degree or a national diploma qualification in Marketing Management / Communications / Business Management / Public Relations or a related field

• You must have basic computer skills – Microsoft office

• Previous experience coordinating university or community events is an added advantage

• Must have a Clear Criminal record

• You must be currently unemployed

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
