Supporting: UK Office & UK Client Portfolio

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Associate to join our UK team. Working remotely from South Africa, you will support the delivery of accounts assignments for a varied portfolio of UK clients while developing your technical knowledge and experience.

This role is ideal for a recently qualified CA(SA), AGA(SA) or someone nearing the completion of their SAICA articles who is looking to build an international career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Previous UK experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Financial Reporting

Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 102.
Prepare year-end accounts and supporting schedules.
Complete reconciliations and working papers.
Assist with group reporting and other ad hoc accounting work.

Client Support

Communicate professionally with UK clients via email and virtual meetings.
Respond to client queries in a timely manner.
Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with Managers, Seniors and Partners across multiple engagements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain high-quality standards and meet agreed deadlines.

Skills & Experience

Essential

Qualified CA(SA), AGA(SA) or nearing completion of SAICA Articles.
Strong financial reporting knowledge.
Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Experience using Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage or similar accounting software.
Experience preparing financial statements.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Desirable

Exposure to UK clients or UK accounting standards.
Experience using IRIS, CCH or other UK practice software.
Experience working within a cloud-based accounting environment.
