Accounts Associate (CA(SA) / AGA(SA) - Remote

Location: South Africa (100% Remote)

Supporting: UK Office & UK Client Portfolio

About The Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Associate to join our UK team. Working remotely from South Africa, you will support the delivery of accounts assignments for a varied portfolio of UK clients while developing your technical knowledge and experience.

This role is ideal for a recently qualified CA(SA), AGA(SA) or someone nearing the completion of their SAICA articles who is looking to build an international career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Previous UK experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities Accounts & Financial Reporting

• Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 102.
• Prepare year-end accounts and supporting schedules.
• Complete reconciliations and working papers.
• Assist with group reporting and other ad hoc accounting work.

Client Support

• Communicate professionally with UK clients via email and virtual meetings.
• Respond to client queries in a timely manner.
• Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Managers, Seniors and Partners across multiple engagements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high-quality standards and meet agreed deadlines.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Qualified CA(SA), AGA(SA) or nearing completion of SAICA Articles.
• Strong financial reporting knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience using Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage or similar accounting software.
• Experience preparing financial statements.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Desirable

• Exposure to UK clients or UK accounting standards.
• Experience using IRIS, CCH or other UK practice software.
• Experience working within a cloud-based accounting environment.
