Acquisition Agent

to serve as the face of our brand within our retail branches and at promotional events.

This exciting role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with people, driving sales, promoting digital products, and creating outstanding customer experiences. You will play a key role in helping customers transition from traditional retail betting to our online betting platform while representing the WSB brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.

East Rand (Edenvale / Benoni), Gauteng (Preference will be given to candidates residing in the East Rand area due to operational requirements);

Position Type:

Full-Time (Tuesday to Saturday, excluding Public Holidays);

Group Marketing Operations Manager

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Customer Acquisition & Engagement:

• Welcome and engage customers in branches and at activation events;
• Assist customers with online account registrations and FICA verification;
• Promote and support app downloads, first-time deposits, and current promotions;
• Educate customers on how to place bets using mobile devices, self-service terminals, and retail platforms;
• Drive customer acquisition and digital migration targets.

 

Brand Representation & Compliance:

• Ensure all marketing collateral, posters, and promotions are correctly displayed;
• Conduct daily merchandising and stock audits;
• Ensure all responsible gambling messaging and legal notices are visible and compliant;
• Maintain brand standards across all assigned locations.

 

Customer Service:

• Act as the first point of contact for customer queries and complaints;
• Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently;
• Build strong relationships with regular customers to encourage loyalty and retention.

 

Activations & Events:

• Represent WSB at community activations, sporting events, and promotional campaigns;
• Facilitate competition draws, partner activations, and customer engagement initiatives;
• Generate new account registrations during field marketing activities and events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous experience in sales, promotions, customer service, retail, public relations, or brand activations ;
• Experience within the betting, gaming, or wagering industry will be advantageous;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Fluent in English and at least one additional South African language;
• Comfortable using smartphones, mobile applications, and digital platforms;
• Understanding of FICA requirements and gaming industry compliance principles will be beneficial;
• Own reliable smartphone with the ability to use WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Google applications;
• Ability to work weekends and peak sporting periods;
• Willingness to travel to activation sites and work at events when required;
• Valid

driving licence, if available.
