Automation Control Solutions is a market leader in Southern Africa in the field of Process Control Instrumentation providing world-renowned products, specialised training, after sales service and technical support. Automation Control Solutions represents Emerson Automation Solutions, in Southern and Eastern Africa.

To ensure a workplace runs smoothly by managing day-to-day clerical work, handling correspondence, and maintaining organized premises and records.

Minimum Requirements

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12
  • Certificate or diploma in Office Administration (advantageous)

EXPERIENCE:

(Minimal experience requirements, Any Experience in the fields below a bonus)

  • 1–3 years’ experience in an administrative or clerical role and; or
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a Sales Assistant/ Administrative role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong data capturing and typing skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of office procedures
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Time management and organizational skills

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, photocopying, document management, gathering quotes and raising purchase requests
  • Capture and update data accurately in company systems
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence (phone calls, emails, messages, and documents) professionally
  • Maintain organised filing systems (physical and electronic)
  • Assist with basic reporting and document preparation and quoting
  • Support team members with administrative tasks as required
  • Managing inventory (stationary, office supplies, dispatching & receiving etc.)
  • Responsible for Housekeeping (building, landlord & staff)
  • CRM Reporting and customer database updates
