Job description

One of South Africa’s leading furniture and appliance retailers, has the following career opportunity for an individual with the necessary competence level, experience and drive.

We are inviting applications for the position of

EDC Administration Clerk (Specialised Collections Dept.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • To liaise with and attend to requests from Debt collection firms/attorneys (EDC’s), branches and Internal Departments
  • To investigate and resolve customer queries/complaints with feedback to EDC’s
  • To verify and submit EDC remittance for pay overs
  • To check EDC commission invoices and prepare for payment
  • To issue EDC’s with queries and or closure instructions via the CAS system
  • To update and maintain EDC Inbox, CAS Queries and Call Centre App.
  • To formulate proposed settlements to management for onward approval
  • To verify settled account status updated on both CAS and LIVE and issue closure instructions to internal departments.

Duties

Resolving queries dealing with:

  • Customers / EDC / Internal Departments and relevant stakeholders
  • EDC pay overs and queries
  • Client balances and account queries.
  • Payment and debit order refund queries.
  • Keep CAS database up to date
  • Draft paid up letters and detailed statements, alternative escalate to EDC
  • Resolve inbound client questions and queries

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Minimum 2 years experience in legal collections process
  • Strong telephonic skills
  • Good communication skills in order to professionally deal with people on all levels
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Methodical and detailed orientated
  • Ability to work independently as as part of a team
  • Able to plan and prioritize tasks
  • Good time management
  • Fluent in the English and Afrikaans language
