Job description

Job Purpose

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to assist the regional librarian in providing a service to affiliated public libraries in the region.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification); A valid(Code B or higher) driving license.NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.

Key Performance Areas

Provide administrative support to the region and affiliated public libraries; Provide asset control support services; Provide personnel administration support services within the office; Provide financial administration support services in the regional office.

Competencies

Knowledge of the following: Computer Library; Clerical Duties; Data capturing; Collecting statistics. Skills in the following: Written and verbal communication; Planning and organising; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Remuneration

R 237 453 – R 279 708 per annum (Salary Level 5)
