Job description

Qualification And Experience

  • At least 2-3 years relevant administrative experience in an operational environment.
  • Infor LN systems experience advantageous.
  • Must be numerate and literate (apply basic mathematics calculations)
  • Must be able to work independently and cope well under pressure.
  • It is essential that the successful candidate be self-motivated with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Grade 12

Computer Literacy Using The Following Packages

  • Microsoft Office packages with an advanced knowledge of Excel.

Skills Required

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, administration skills & problem-solving skills.
  • The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, disciplined & well organized.
  • Able to communicate well in both English and Afrikaans languages.
  • Experience with using a hand-held scanner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, honesty, self-driven, responsible and able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Basic understanding of the 20 Keys concept is essential.

The Ideal Candidate Would Be Responsible For

  • To provide administrative support to the Logistics Superintendent and Cold Store Controller.
  • Assist with daily compilation and gathering of hardcopies for the quality control pack.
  • Daily upkeep of scanner control register.
  • Daily clearing of Root Cause Analysis reports as well as Non-Conformance reports.
  • Manage of RTP’s and invoices for Processing.
  • Liaising with Debtors / Creditors on a daily basis.
  • Liaising with Sales as well as the Quality Control departments.
  • Dealing with Returns / Claims and Pallet receipts.
  • Assisting, multi–tasking and filling in other positions if and when required.
  • Know and be able to work in other positions.

Other Features Of The Job

  • Due to the nature of the job, extra hours will be required from time to time, which may necessitate working into the evening, public holidays, or on weekends.
  • You may also be required to travel from time to time.
  • Perform other reasonable duties outside the scope of this job description as might be requested by senior.
  • Staggered tea breaks, if needed
