Purpose of the job:
To provide administrative support to the Faculty Office in respect of all Faculty administrative processes, in order to ensure alignment and compliance with central administrative systems and procedures; and to provide a professional support service to academics, students and staff.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and dynamic candidates for appointment to the post of Administrative Officer: Faculty.
Key Responsibilities will include:

Academic Administration (applications, selections, registrations and related administrative processes)

Committee Administration (agendas, minutes and reports)

Marketing
-
Enquiry Management
-
Student Enquiries
-
Liaising with relevant stakeholders

General Administration

Performing any other administrative duties as may be assigned by the Dean or Faculty Manager Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12
-
A minimum of 3 years' administrative experience, preferably at a tertiary institution
-
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
-
Accuracy and attention to detail
-
Proficiency in computer programmes/software packages
-
Experience with the SASI system would be an advantage
Key competencies

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and without supervision

High degree of confidentiality

Report writing and minute-taking skills
