We’re Hiring: Administrator: Workforce
Lesaka Merchant is looking for an Administrator: Workforce to join our Merchant Operations Division. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, planning resources, coordinating schedules, and ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time to support exceptional customer experiences.
Job Purpose
To provide administrative support for effective day-to-day workforce planning across Merchant Operations. The role is responsible for supporting scalable workforce planning solutions that align merchant requirements with Lesaka's operational capabilities through the effective use of technology.
The successful candidate will ensure resource scheduling aligns with business requirements, customer expectations, workforce capacity, and operational objectives while supporting a fast-paced fintech environment focused on growth, agility, and service excellence.
Key Responsibility Areas
Workforce Capacity, Capability Planning & Forecasting
- Consolidate merchant requirements, new business opportunities, rework initiatives, and SLA commitments into workforce planning models.
- Support the development of workforce capacity plans, capability plans, forecasts, and schedules across annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily planning cycles.
- Compare forecast demand with available workforce capacity to identify resource shortages, surpluses, and scheduling risks.
- Support workforce planning for technicians, customer care teams, fleet operations, and operational support functions.
- Assist in planning for critical skills, labour availability, changing customer requirements, and operational needs.
️ Technician, Employee & Resource Scheduling
- Create and maintain workforce schedules, technician rosters, shift plans, and task allocations.
- Optimise resource utilisation while considering travel distances, service requirements, infrastructure constraints, safety requirements, and employee wellbeing.
- Schedule resources based on skills, proximity, availability, operational priorities, and cost efficiency.
- Support contingency planning for demand spikes, absenteeism, operational disruptions, and equipment failures.
- Monitor workforce performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy and resource utilisation.
- Utilise workforce management systems and planning tools to improve scheduling effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management & Alignment
- Collaborate with business units to understand workforce planning requirements and priorities.
- Engage with Field Service Managers, Regional Field Service Coordinators, and operational teams to support workforce planning activities.
- Participate in workforce planning, scheduling, and capability planning forums.
- Provide accurate workforce planning information and reporting to support business decision-making.
- Ensure workforce plans are reviewed, aligned, and communicated effectively across stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric is Mandatory.
- Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years' experience in:
Workforce Planning
Workforce Administration
People Analytics
Human Resources
Business Analysis
Resource Scheduling
- Experience engaging with stakeholders across different organisational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to support workforce planning, scheduling, capacity planning, and resource management activities.
- Professional registration with SABPP, IPM, or a related professional body will be advantageous.
