DRIVER / ADVENTURE GUIDE – CAPE TOWN ZIPLINES

Position Overview

SA Forest Adventures is looking for an energetic, responsible and customer-focused Driver / Adventure Guide to join our Cape Town Ziplines team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting guests safely in our 4x4 vehicles, assisting with zipline tours, conducting safety briefings and ensuring every guest has a safe, exciting and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate the company's 4x4 vehicles on mountain routes.
• Transport guests from the base camp to the zipline starting point.
• Conduct professional guest introductions and safety briefings.
• Assist guests with harnesses, helmets and safety equipment.
• Guide guests safely between zipline platforms.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational standards.
• Monitor guests throughout the activity and provide assistance where required.
• Ensure equipment is checked and correctly used before and during activities.
• Provide an energetic, friendly and professional experience for local and international guests.
• Answer guest questions about the activity and surrounding area.
• Maintain excellent customer service throughout the tour.
• Report equipment, vehicle or safety concerns immediately to management.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and general site duties.
• Keep vehicles, equipment and operational areas clean and well maintained.
• Complete required operational and safety checklists.
• Work closely with fellow guides and management to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

• Valid driver's licence.
• Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) would be an advantage.
• Previous driving, tourism, outdoor or adventure experience would be advantageous.
• Adventure guiding or zipline experience would be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
• Additional languages would be an advantage.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
• Confident working with local and international tourists.
• Responsible, reliable and safety-conscious.
• Friendly, energetic and enthusiastic personality.
• Able to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Must be willing to work weekends and public holidays.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours according to operational requirements.
