Afrikaans First Additional Language Teacher

Job Advert Summary

Rustenburg Girls’ High School is looking to replace an experienced Afrikaans (First Additional Language) teacher. This full time SGB educator post is available from 1 January 2027.

Only short-listed candidates will be contacted and invited to an interview and will be taken on a tour of the school and expected to teach a lesson. We reserve the right not to fill the posts.

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in teaching the CAPs curriculum in the FET phase is essential (minimum five years preferred).
• Experience of teaching at Grade 12 level is essential (minimum three years preferred).
• Experience as an NSC Marker would be an advantage.
• Must be computer literate and competent in the use of technology for teaching and learning.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will teach Afrikaans (First Additional Language) from Grade 8 to Grade 12

The successful applicant will be expected to play a full role in the extra-mural life of the school, including as a Tutor in the Vertical Tutor System.
