About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Aftersales Manager to oversee and strengthen the company's aftersales activities and customer support function.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring customer satisfaction following the sale, managing customer requirements and working closely with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain strong customer relationships.

The role requires an individual with an electrical/technical background who is comfortable dealing with customers, coordinating solutions and travelling when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee aftersales activities and customer support.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Act as a key point of contact for customer queries and aftersales requirements.
• Coordinate the resolution of customer issues and technical/service-related matters.
• Work closely with technical, sales and operational teams to resolve customer requirements.
• Monitor outstanding customer issues and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Support warranty, service and customer-related processes.
• Identify recurring customer issues and work with internal teams to improve service delivery.
• Assist with customer retention and relationship management.
• Provide regular feedback and reporting to management.
• Conduct customer visits and site visits when required.
• Support the sales team where aftersales or technical customer input is required.
• Ensure a professional and positive customer experience throughout the post-sale journey.

Requirements

• Over 5 years' relevant experience in an aftersales, technical support, customer service, service management or related environment.
• Electrical-related degree.
• Strong customer relationship-management skills.
• Good technical understanding of electrical/renewable energy environments.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customer requirements simultaneously.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel throughout Southern Africa when required.
• Bilingual ability would be advantageous.

Travel Requirement

The successful candidate must be willing to travel throughout Southern Africa as and when required to support customers and business operations.
