Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuilsriver, Cape Town for an Automation Technician. The Automation Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation systems within polytunnel greenhouses. Responsibilities include testing and configuring electrical and plumbing systems, conducting preventive maintenance, and diagnosing issues to ensure optimal system performance. The role requires collaboration with team members and adherence to safety and quality standards.

What do we require from you?

Driver’s licence and eligible for a passport
5-7 years work experience within an electrical or technical field
N-level studies / Diploma / Degree
IT literate
Ability to work at heights
Physical ability to lift to 30 kgs

A basic understanding of electronic circuits such as 3-phase motor circuits, high-voltage AC 400V/230V and low-voltage AC or DC 24V/12V will be advantageous.

Skills, Characteristics and Abilities

Strong customer service focus
Clean criminal record
Valid driver's licence
Valid passport or eligible for a passport
Good communication skills
Based in Cape Town with own transport
Willing to travel locally & internationally
Able to work independently or in teams under pressure
