Job Purpose Statement

To provide driving services for transportation of green waste and mobile equipment handling for AgriZone

Key Performance Areas

Driving and equipment handling duties

1. Drive the truck to transport green waste from AgriZone to composting site
2. Operate the skip loader equipment
3. Operate the AgriZone tractor for transportation of waste, water and other resources
4. Operate tractor implements such as tankers, slashers, trailers, etc.
5. Operate AgriZone vehicles to assist Officers and Managers with day-to-day operations
6. Replenish fuel to AgriZone vehicles, when requested to do so
7. Replenish fuel for AgriZone equipment and rehabilitation activities
8. Clean Agrizone vehicles and equipment
9. Replenish fuel to AgriZone vehicles
10. Assists in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment and general supplies
11. Operate lifting equipment when requested

Reporting

1. Compile and submit monthly waste removal report
2. Keep records of all waste disposal slips
3. Compile and submit monthly vehicle inspection report
4. Report on fuel purchased for the rehab equipment and rehabilitation activities
5. Assist in keeping vehicle status records

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Behavioural Competencies Required

1. Standard 8 / Grade 10
2. FET N3 / Matric or studying towards such qualification will be an advantage
3. 2 years’ general driving experience for Code 10 vehicle
4. Physically fit to perform duties, stand, walk, use hands to perform work, talk, hear, smell
5. Driving vehicles/truck/tractor, operating implements, handling equipment and machine, etc.
6. Computer Literacy (Ms Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
7. Experience in operation of code 10 vehicles with trailers
8. Understanding of implements and equipment operations
9. Understanding of operating a tractor

Recruitment and Selection Process

The process will consist of the following steps:

The following verification checks will be conducted:

2. Credit (position of trust), if relevant to position;
3. Qualifications;
4. Reference Checks;
5. South African citizen;
6. Valid driver’s license; and
7. Positive verification of current remuneration package.

Remuneration and Benefits

1. R202,700 to R281,700 Total Cost to Company, inclusive of:

• R1,070-00 Medical Aid Allowance per month.
• Company contribution to Provident Fund and Approved Group Risk Benefit.

1. Non-guaranteed performance bonus.
2. 20 Working days leave per annum.
