Job description
Location: Cape Town International Airport
Training will start from the 1 September 2026
Contract Period: 1 October 2026 – 30 April 2027 (7 Months)
Shift Pattern: 4 Days On | 4 Days Off
Working Hours: 12-hour rotating day and night shifts
Key Responsibilities
✔ Perform aircraft walk-around inspections.
✔ Carry out APU servicing and routine oil servicing.
✔ Perform aircraft wheel changes in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
✔ Conduct cabin maintenance and rectify cabin defects.
✔ Diagnose and rectify inbound aircraft snags to ensure aircraft serviceability.
✔ Complete maintenance tasks in line with approved maintenance data, company procedures, and aviation regulations.
✔ Accurately complete maintenance documentation and records.
✔ Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Minimum Requirements
✔ Qualified Aircraft Mechanic with a relevant aviation qualification
✔ South African citizen
✔ Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and night shifts
✔ Available to commence employment on 1 October 2026
