Position: Alarm & CCTV Technician
Location: Bruma, City of Johannesburg
Type: Full-time
Salary: Market-related, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain IP and analog CCTV systems
Install, program, and maintain intruder alarm systems (panels, detectors, sirens, and keypads)
Install, configure, and maintain electric fence systems and carry out repairs
Install and maintain access control systems including intercoms, gate motors, and biometric readers
Integrate alarm, CCTV, electric fence, and access control systems with monitoring platforms
Troubleshoot and repair IP camera connectivity and network-related faults
Conduct site assessments for effective camera placement and alarm zone planning
Perform scheduled maintenance and system upgrades across all installed technologies
Respond to faults, false activations, and system failures timeously
Provide technical support and client training on installed systems
Document all installations, configurations, and service records
Ensure compliance with company protocols and safety standards
Collaborate with the control room and security teams for full system integration
Basic Network Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience as an Alarm & CCTV Technician
Proficient in IP and analog CCTV systems, DVR/NVR setups
Hands-on experience with intruder alarm panels (e.g. Paradox, DSC, Texecom, IDS or similar)
Valid driver's license and reliable transport
PSIRA registration advantageous
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Able to work independently and within a team
Willing to work flexible hours, including after-hours and weekends when required
Advantageous
Experience with electric fence systems and energisers
Experience with access control systems (intercoms, biometrics, gate automation)
Ability to troubleshoot IP camera connections and Ubiquiti point-to-point setups
Networking knowledge (basic TCP/IP, IP addressing, switch configuration)
