About the Role
Amdec House is looking for a reliable, professional Driver to support our office operations both on the road and in-office. This role combines driving duties across Cape Town with facilities and office support tasks, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
On the Road:
- Hand-deliver and collect legal documents to and from various offices around Cape Town
- Deliver building plans to construction sites
- Handle daily shopping for kitchen supplies
- Collect registered mail from the PO Box
- Collect maintenance, facility, and stock-related equipment
- Transport small furniture items as needed
- Deliver, help set up, and pack down marketing collateral for events
- Provide airport transfers for VIP guests
In the Office:
- Monitor Amdec House parking to ensure staff and tenants follow parking protocols
- Keep company vehicles clean, safe, and up to date with inspections
- Assist clients with loading and unloading luggage
- Check and refill watercoolers throughout the day
- Keep shredders clean and clear
- Ensure photocopiers and Mondi paper stations are fully stocked
- Empty recycled paper bins
- Support HR/Finance with filing, including moving boxes to and from the archive room
Requirements
- Proven experience as a driver in a similar role
- Valid driver's license (a PDP will be advantageous)
- Clean driving record
- Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (corrected or uncorrected)
- Comfortable using GPS navigation devices
- Strong knowledge of Cape Town roads and neighbourhoods
- Able to lift heavy packages and luggage
- Willing to work occasional weekend and night shifts as required
- Professional, polite manner with a neat, well-presented appearance
