Job description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, and strategic partners to ensure testing activities align with project objectives and quality expectations.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of test strategies across multiple projects, ensuring effective communication of testing progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on test execution, quality metrics, and defect trends to support informed decision-making.
• Foster a collaborative team environment through active participation, constructive feedback, and continuous knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and fellow testers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
• Support team growth by sharing best practices, lessons learned, and automation expertise.
• Manage end-to-end testing activities, including test planning, estimation, execution, monitoring, and reporting across multiple projects.
• Develop and maintain test schedules, resource plans, and effort estimates to ensure successful delivery within agreed timelines.
• Monitor and analyze testing metrics to identify quality trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Drive effective defect management practices, ensuring defects are identified, tracked, prioritized, and resolved efficiently.
• Administer and maintain test management tools, repositories, and automation frameworks to support quality assurance objectives.
• Apply industry-standard testing methodologies, frameworks, and best practices to improve software quality and testing efficiency.
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail in all testing activities.
• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test scripts, and automated test suites based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Utilize modern testing and automation tools to enhance test coverage, reduce manual effort, and improve overall quality assurance effectiveness

NB - This is a 5 days onsite engagement at our centurion office

Minimum requirements

• ISTQB – Foundation testing certification (non negotiable).
• Matric (non negotiable)
• ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst is preferable.
• Relevant IT degree or diploma required
• Basic programming knowledge /understanding
• Has training on ReadyAPI, SOAPUI and Visual Studio

Minimum experience

• 3 years relevant testing experience (encompassing the skills and knowledge listed below).
• Of the above testing experience should include , writing custom test apps.
• Experience in analysing complex and technical design diagrams and specification.
• Experience in using SQL for Data Driven Testing.
• Experience in API Testing.
• Experience in working with Git repositories and branching strategies.
• Experience in Automated test case development, estimation, and maintenance
• Extensive experience developing test cases and test scenarios from requirements.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Possess a good understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance concepts across the SDLC.
• Understands test metrics and how they are used for decision support
